MFMGA 2025 Local Rules

Free Drop-

A)  DRAINAGE RUTS in dirt areas between grass, OB stakes and fences.

B)  BALL EMBEDDED in it’s own pitch mark in the ground, in any grassy area through the green.

C)  SPRINKLER HEADS obstructing play around putting greens. If putting off the green move the ball so sprinkler is not obstructing line of putt, no closer to the hole.

D  HAZZARD- Follow USGA rules.

E)  OUT OF BOUNDS- Fences separating the housing from the golf course is considered out of bounds.

F)  If a player hits a ball out of bounds and does not hit a provisional ball that player may take a drop to the middle of the fairway directly across from the point that the ball entered the out of bounds .The player must take a two stroke penalty.

G)  If a player hits the ball and is unable to find it and declares it a lost a player may drop a ball in the middle of the fairway from the point where it was last seen. The player must take  a two stroke penalty.

H)  If a player X’s out of the round they must play at least 12 holes to be eligible for skins and KP’s.

I)  If a player his the ball in a sand trap they can rake the sand beneath the ball and replace the ball in the same place before raking. A member of the group must be consulted before moving the ball.

J)  Because of rocks along the fairways players are allowed to carry a maximum of 16 clubs in their bag to be able to use clubs for rocks only.
